Charlie Jacob was born at 9:22 am on April 29, 2006!!!!!!!

He weighed 7lbs 9oz......mom and baby are doing great and I am....well you know me!

YEE HAW!  :) ;) ;D :D

PS: I also got a PM from Vic....she got into Hawaii safe and sound and is having a awesome time!

Congratulations, Chris!  Give my best to your wife.  She done good.  That's a nice-size baby boy ya got there.  My Will came into the world at five pounds even and prematurely.  He's taller than kids two years older than him now, but that first year was tough because he was so underweight.  Charlie will be sleeping through the night in no time at this rate (they do that when they hit about 14 pounds).  Enjoy this angelic time as best you can.  It's hard as nails, but you'll look back on it very fondly in a few years, believe me.

And get some sleep!  Whenever you can!  Both o' ya!  Dishes and laundry be damned.  :)

Today in the liquor store I saw a "Congratulations on your new arrival" card (it's a fancy yuppie liquor store with all sorts of stuff).  The card featured a pair of sheep.  A stork flew over and dropped a baby sheep between them.  Cutest damn thing I've seen in awhile, which is probably what you're thinking about little Charlie, and I'm so happy for you.

Charlie Jacob.  Great name.

When I was born, it was by c-section, and in those days, they knocked mothers out with a general anaesthetic.  So while my mum was conked out, my dad was the first parent to hold me, to see me.  He told me that all he could think was, "I wonder what she'll say?"

I wonder what Charlie will say.  I wonder what he'll make of this little old world of ours.  I hope, that despite all its troubles, he thinks it's pretty neat to be here.  Tell him that we all think it's pretty neat that he's here.

So here's a toast to Charlie Jacob.  Long life and good health and loving friends to you, little guy.

YES!!!!!! Welcome little Charlie Jake!  :D  I had to log on tonight, it is a sultry 80 degrees and 10:15 pm here on Maui, but I just had to log in and see if there was any news on the baby front!  Congratulations Chris and McK, kisses all around , hug little Charlie and tell him it's from his cyber Auntie!  :-*  Talk to you all on Wednesday!

we didn't speak before due to me being still new here at bettermost. But this is a very happy occasion to change that. Congratulations!
Enjoy the time. (In my opinion) a new baby is the most wonderful thing that can happen to anyone. You're blessed with the greatest gift.
