Wow--to think this might become an annual thing! I still haven't unwrapped my 2007 calendar, even (Melinda, if you're reading this, I know you'd understand).
Eventually, if they keep this up, they're going to have to include shots of things we don't particularly care to gaze upon--Aguirre's scowl, Old Man Twist's basilisk stare of contempt, Ennis's tearful regard of what could have been and will never be.

Well, of COURSE I understand! :laugh: You know me all too well! As soon as I spotted the link to the calendars I wanted to buy one, and I will. I would be so happy if BBM calendars were offered every year from now ON.... but you are so right, Scott, there would likely come a time when the calendar pages might include... oh, I don't know....maybe a closeup of Carl's jealous stare at Ennis (and who wouldn't be jealous of Ennis?!). Would it come down to.... the jolly minister's face pretending to covet the bride when we all know he was drooling over (yup, you guessed it) Ennis? In future years will the November page feature L.D. Newsome and the December page a closeup of Fayette? ( :P ;)) Or, heaven forbid, a page devoted to little Bobby Twist and his bowl of Thanksgiving dinner? ::) ;D Okay, I can't stop myself now (somebody help me!), my mind is racing ahead to the month of gazing at Monroe's face as he concentrates on carving with his electric knife---- Ooooo, what about a page featuring the Basque... should it be full-body or a closeup?! Okay, seriously, I can't stop---- (Frumpy-frocked Alma stomping off to work the extra shift at the store >:( :D...) I would say Jimbo and the Mexican prostitute, but I consider them at least B-Listers who should be included within this decade, don't you think? :laugh:
Must STOP my tomfoolery and lollygaggin', maybe someone else can take up where we've left off.... I'd love to hear new suggestions!

Just received my new calendar in the mail today! I used the code as Eric suggested and got the 20% off :D. No signs of little Bobby Twist yet :P, I guess that's a few years off!

I got an e-mail yesterday from Calendars.com touting the arrival of 2009 calendars. I went to their site and searched for BbM, but the only results were the 2008 calendar.
If there is one in 2009, I hope they use some different photos from the ones used the last two years and not a different variation of them.
I'll bet you some cash money that there will be a Heath Ledger 2009 calendar though. . . and I'm not talking about the Dark Knight one already available

Today, I turned over to the last month of the 2008 BBM Calendar. A sadness fell over me that we won't have a 2009 calendar. :'( ???
So I guess I'll jes' have to get this Homorodeo calendar instead :D

Well, we may not be able to buy a calendar, but I made my own Brokeback Calendar.

The first step was to find a free online template of a 2009 Calendar. I found that here.

I left the size selection as it is on the page and just click "Get PDF". That will print out a 2009 calendar, one month per page.
Second, I went to a website that has Brokeback Mountian screencaps (of course, your own faves will do just fine) and saved 12 to my computer.

I then printed the 12 pics out in 8X10 size on regular paper.
go to the local stationary/office supply store, and purchased clear plastic inserts for a 3 ring binder.

place a pic and a calendar page, back to back, attached with binder rings.

Just make sure you put posterboard between the two papers to keep them from bending, and your all set. The binder rings will allow you to flip the pages easily.
Not as "professional" as a "real" calendar, but it does the job. Here are the pics I selected.

My 2008 calender is still hanging on my bedroom wall, stuck on December, with Ennis looking at me. I can't bear to take it down. :'(
