I have dialup....was wondering what percentage of the members have dialup versus high speed
-
*David raises his hand*
Another dial-up here Jess. :P
-
I had dial-up and they discontinued it in my town, so I changed to Centurytel DSL Broadband. I love it; it's so much faster than dial-up and it stays connected.

DSL over here.
It's way faster than dial-up, but there are occasional "service disruptions."

Broadband, couldn,t live without it.

Satellite broadband.
Dial up keeps dropping out where I live and the only kind of high speed connection available is satellite. Fortunately the government subsidizes it in areas like mine where other types of broadband will never be installed.
-
I need to check on that satelite thing...

I've had super high speed wireless broadband for the past couple of years. A little gizmo that looks somewhat like a mobile phone sits on my desk and I never have to go anywhere near a phone line. I've not had one single problem with it. Simply couldn't live without it. :D
-
I love my wifi.
If the first two respondants both have dial-up, why is there only one person listed with dial-up in the poll?
-
I couldn't live without my DSL!!
:D

I have dial-up at home, and high speed at work. I may eventually switch to high speed at home, but right now, I'm O.K with it.
-
Well I had dial up since I got on the internet, 1999. So slooooooowwww. I switched to Comcast last March or April and I LOVE IT!!!!!
No more wasting time in front of the computer waiting for pages to load.
I almost got high speed through the phone company but went through the cable since my house is alarmed and the alarm goes through the phone lines also. The phone company gets on my nerves anyway with all their fees and taxes. Comcast isn't cheap but I do not plan to ever get rid of it.
