Title: My boyfriend's paintings - his first exhibition!
Post by: mvansand76 on January 13, 2008, 11:38:11 am
Hi all!

Remember more more than a year ago when I posted a picture of the painting my boyfriend made of a scene in Brokeback Mountain?

He has now had his first exhibition and already sold two paintings. Here are some of the other paintings he made.

Wow!! Congratulations on the sales. Beautiful painting -- he's very talented, Melissa!

Thank you!   :-*  It's his first exhibition, so hopefully it's just the start of a lot more exhibitions and people who are thrilled to have one of his paintings in their houses!

girl with the plants...Very evocative, and etheral.. Of course I love all of them...
I wish him a great deal of luck..However I am sure it is very hard to part with them too.           :)

Impressive!

Congratulations on the sales and the best of luck for his exhibition.

It's strange to think about people visiting the exhibition, looking at the LF painting - and having no idea!
They'll like it anyway, it's a great picture.

His skies are gorgeous.

What is the one to the right of the first one on the left?  The one just left of the seagulls?

The house in Lightnin' Flat has all the stark lonliness of the real place.

It's a painting of a bed flying in the night sky...  :D

Thanks everybody! I am so proud of him, he had that horrible accident two years ago and was in a wheelchair for about 6 months, but he kept on painting and now this first exhibition, just HAD to tell you all about it and show it to you...

Thanks, Truman! You were there, weren't you? That's a huge compliment!

Stunning and lovely art work, his pictures have a very Dali-esque surreal quality.  Congrats to him and to you since I am sure you are his muse.  ;D  Bravo.  I love the one of Lightening Flat he captures the expansive loneliness of Wyoming so perfectly.  You can almost hear the wind blowing.
