Title: 1,000 Hours!
Post by: Phillip Dampier on March 19, 2006, 05:26:59 pm
Brokeback Mountain Radio today achieved 1,000 listening hours in less than one month of being on the air.  My thanks to everyone who has spent time with BMR and for your suggestions and comments.  Please keep them coming!

Your work with Live365 is awesome.  I just listened to a song that would be perfect for the project.  It is called "Pullin' Back The Reins" by k.d. Lang from her 1989 CD "Absolute Torch and Twang."  I can send you an Mp3 or a wav or even, shudder, a wma~!  if you tell me where to upload it.

I have bought a CD from amazom.com because of Brokeback Mountain Radio.  It is Mark Weigle's "The Truth Is" and the song is the beautiful "The Two Cowboy Waltz"!  The rest of the disc isn't bad either.  It's the first 'openly gay' CD I have ever heard.

I'd like to support YOU for your work on this site and Live365 but I can't use Paypal.  Send me a snail mail address to [email protected]

peace

Weigle's album "All That Matters" is excellent also.  My favorite is "As It Turns Out."  I don't know if that cut made it to the BM Radio playlist, I haven't encountered it yet, but perhaps I've just had bad luck.

For the past year or so, we've hovered around 600-700 hours monthly listening time.  Suddenly, BBM Radio has had a surgence, and we've hit over 1000 hours of listening time again per month in the last couple of months.  (We're actually currently sitting at 1304 listing hours in the last 30 days!)  Congrats to BBM Radio!  Still goin' strong after all these years.  :D
