Post by: David In Indy on April 12, 2008, 09:33:34 pm
Have we done this one already? If we have I couldn't find it.

Which one do you prefer?

Great idea for a poll Bud!  And, it's so funny to me how strongly some folks I've met in my "real life" feel about this subject.

I rarely drink soda, but when I do I definitely prefer Coke.  Pepsi is too sweet for me in most cases.

On the even more rare occasion when I do crave a really sweet/dessert-ish soda I go for something really markedly sweet like Cherry Coke or even cream soda (I actually totally love cream soda as a treat).  I also quite like Dr. Pepper when I'm in the mood for something really sweet.  But, I only drink these things once in a blue moon.  A real fountain-made old-fashioned Cherry Coke really can be delicious... and just so different from the canned/bottled kind.

The big 3 in order of preference:

Diet Coke
Diet Dr. Pepper
Diet Pepsi

I alternate them.

But if I want a treat --- Root Beer!  ;D

Coke.

But if a restaurant offers Pepsi, I go with it and drink Pepsi, too. But never a diet soft drink. I think they all have a bad aftertaste from the artificial sweetener.

Yep, Amanda.  That pretty much sums it up for me, also.  Pepsi tastes too sweet to me - and kind of flat.  And when I do have a soft drink, I actually prefer the taste of Diet Coke (but it has to be the regular Diet Coke - not the version that's sweetened with Splenda - had that once by accident and it was awful).

Defintely Coke.

Pepsi is too sweet. If a restaurant has Pepsi instead of Coke, I'll see about something like ginger ale or Dr. Pepper, and if none of those options are available, maybe lemonade. If all else fails there is always water!

only cola is Diet Rite, it has "splenda" which is splendid for my waistline.

DL on the other hand is seemingly addited to classic coca cola. Way too much sugary crap on a daily basis.

One reason is that they are run by criminals.

And maybe still are.

No many people know that ?

Au revoir,
