Well, looking on bright side, maybe it's a good thing I can rarely afford to go out and eat!
How about some pickles and crackers that have been taken out of the garbage to go along with that fake steak, David? Bon appetit, for sure!

You know what, though, if that's fake chicken on salads, maybe it's for the best. When I get a salad with chicken, I've often thought it tastes better than what I make at home out of the real thing. Moister, more tender. Maybe it's those mysterious "added ingredients."
And anyone who eats hot dogs or sausage eats ground up reassembled meat!
Fake steak, though? Well, maybe in a Taco Bell burrito or something. But when you order a steak dinner in a sit-down restaurant, I don't think what they serve you could be anything but real.

Confucius say, "He who work in hot dog factory does not eat hot dogs." ;)

True! And from what I've heard, a lot of people who work in ice cream parlors don't eat ice cream, either.

OK, I eat out alot, I was worried that this was going to be something disgusting.
OK, no, nothing much new in what's going on. Restaurant owners have been doing such things for years. A guy who used to carpool with me to college used to work in the seafood section of a grocery store. So when he went to seafood restaurants, he could tell when he was getting ripped off. He told me a bunch of stuff of how to tell, but the only one I remember is about telling the difference between real scallops and scallop-shaped chunks taken out of stingray wings.

They don't eat there otherwise they'll get fat. ;D My high school sweetheart worked in an ice cream shop. The place was constantly cleaned and mopped, tables wiped, the freezers defrosted once a week. It was an extremely well kept place.

My Mum used to say, with humour and no small measure of cynicism, that if we saw inside most any restaurant kitchen, no-one would ever dine out! ;)

Oh yeah, I agree with that.
