I love all 3 of them! How much would that be?

Tell your husband it can be an early Christmas gift--and then forget you said that when December rolls around.  :P 8) ;D

I have seen a lot of that color and brown together this year.

Do I need this shirt? No.
Do I want it? yes.
Should I even be asking the question ?
No you should be wearing one now and have the other 2 stashed away.

Last years outfit , no way. Standards of sartorial elegance need to be upheld. Besides, he's a man, tell him it is last years !!!!

I prefer to see it as thinking outside of the box. A skill I have had to recently, dust off and start using again, now I am no longer working.

Massage his ego and other anatomical parts, having previously filled his belly. That way they think they have the upper hand but they are merely a puppet with you pulling the strings.
That way everyone is happy.

Heres a few of suggestions......

If you buy the three of em.....Tell him the second one was half price and the third one free, because you bought the other two.

OR

Tell him you only bought one, stash the other two away, and just bring them out one at a time, and tell him its the same one....men dont notice the different patterns and designs on them.

OR

Tell him it is last years shirt

OR

Tell him a friend sent them to you.

OR

Tell him that you were talking to someone in the horsey comptetion and that extra points will be given for exceptionally nice outfits.

OR.....if all else fails......

Squeeze a tear or two out of your eyes, and tell him you just wanted him to be proud of you in such a lovely outfit, and you wanted to buy them more to make HIM  happy, than yourself.

OR......(but this is only if you want to start World War Three)

Put your hands on your hips (which from what ive noticed, you do fairly often), and say " F*** YOU, IM GETTIN EM...."

Once you have placed the order, with his blessing......THEN AND ONY THEN, you can do what Fiona (Optom) suggested.

Jess, I think you should go ahead and get them. Or at least one of them. Your husband would cool off eventually, wouldn't he? Go for it!! :D

For what it's worth, they're all nice shirts, but I like the first and the second shirts best.

I absolutely ADORE all three shirts, Jess, but the third one is my favourite. It's soooo beautiful.

My vote is for you to buy it. And your thought about getting an entire new ensemble to go with it is a perfectly splendid idea, indeed!   :D

he would pass out and then I would have to give him some mouth to mouth and knowing HIM that would lead to that stuff Fiona was talking about...then I would have to tell him to STOP, I am TRYING to resusitate you, he wouldn't take no for an answer, start accusing me of leading him on and being a tease...

this is getting TOO complicated...

one of the best things about showing horses in Western Pleasure is being able to buy all this 'drag'!

over the top, sparkles and pearls, and embroidery and loud colors, HUGE earrings and cuffs, dramatic makeup (cause you know you are in that big arena and have to go overboard so the judges can see it...so BRIGHT red lipstick is a GOOD thing)...leather and suede and silk and satin..BIG hair...

it is just FUN!

I have now gone into a deep depression, as I have just properly realised what I am going to have to do, when I buy something expensive.!!!!
Back in England, I put most thing s through my company, or gave myself a bonus, never thought twice about it.We had a joint account for bills then the rest of our money was our own.
I used to spend obscene money on shoes, butI also paid for all the holidays etc.
Fortunately at the moment it is not an issue, the recession has taken care of that, but eventually I hope we will come through the other side. Then I am going to have to take some of my own advice.
However as my husband took nearly a week to notice I had gone from brunette to blond, I am not expecting too much of a problem.

My mom had a great trick. She would save dry cleaning bags, and anything new she was hiding for a while, she would put in the drycleaning bag. Then when she wanted to wear it, she would get changed and deliberately let my father see her taking it out of the dry cleaners bag. The inference being it could not possibly be new.!!!!

I love the middle one which I think was the $600 one.

Which going along with Keldas' suggestion is $1 a day for ------- days. However I bet you collect about that amount a day in small change I know I do.

I use the opposite analogy with my husband and the supermarket. If just half our staff take a soda a day without paying and they do I have seen them. Then that works out to $70 a week which is $3600 per year, which equates to about $1500 nett straight out of our pockets.
How scary is that, and that is based on just one soda by only half our staff. Once you start adding in Tbones and Filets, new york strip etc it truly is mind boggling.

Anyway back to the shirts, just save all your small  change and you will be amazed.

Another idea, again my mums, was to buy a few things from Oxfam, a charity shop. She would give the clothes to another charity shop and put her expensive stuff in the charity bag. She told my father that the Oxfam in Hale was full of deigner goodies and to be fair it was.Too many rich women with far too many clothes.
It has all caught up with her now, bless her, as she is mainly wheelchair bound so my father has to take her shopping.

When I think of the things my father never knew about.
