Title: ITE: The silver linings
Post by: Front-Ranger on May 15, 2009, 04:38:18 pm
ITE stands for the latest hot acronym and it means "In this economy." One silver lining I've experienced is that I'm swiftly getting rid of all the bottles and jars and vials of unguents, shampoos, and lotions I've collected over the years. What are your silver linings?

I really like having time to read. I have hundreds, and I am not kidding, of books waiting to be read. Right now I am reading a book on Sailors and Sexuality I bought years ago and I am like Day-um I wish I hadn't put this off......

Maybe this doesn't exactly qualify, but, similar to FRiend Lee getting rid of the bottles and vials, etc., I'm finally actually using all the little cakes of soap I've brought home from hotels over the years.  ;D

Great idea, Kelda! You can get the most beautiful beads these days, some made of crystal or precious stones.

Another silver lining is that we are taking out and using all the stuff crammed into the freezer instead of letting it sit there till it's all dessicated.

Boo-hoo. In my present unemployed condition, I can't go to Alberta, can't go to San Francisco, can't go to New York, can't go to Atlanta. So I must content myself with going to Ten Sleep for the Fourth of July rodeo, followed by fireworks in Riverton. And, you know? I'm all right with that!!  :)

Forget SF and NY. Teen Sleep rodeo & Riverton fireworks sound great.

Another silver lining to enjoy In This Economy (ITE): the simple happiness of being with family and friends during the holidays, instead of running around observing Black Days and Cyber Days, standing in line, wrestling with wrapping paper, etc.
