Anderson Cooper has spoken, and Universal has heard. The studio, which first released the trailer for Ron Howard's The Dilemma, complete with the head-scratchingly tin-eared opening line, "Ladies and gentlemen, electric cars are gay" a few weeks ago, is only now, after Anderson Cooper publicly criticized the trailer, acknowledging it might be in hideous taste and removing the trailer from theaters. Sometimes it takes a famous person to make powerful entities acknowledge when they're being horrible.
