Cheers to everyone who's about to get the DVD!
Cue Princess Jasmine: "It's a whole newwwww world!!!!" (apologies...)
My lucky ass with my screener, I just got thru with the final scene together for the, um, umpteenth time. Still "wow".
Cleansed the pallet with the second tent scene. Very useful scene to jump to, if you wanna give yourself a happy ending... Er, ah... The movie a happy ending. :)
But, man. Frame after frame composed so beautifully, so perfectly. So masterful. (Not best picture - bah!)
Can't wait to hear from all you (new) DVD addicts starting tomorrow!! ;D
Sleep tight, Santa's on the way... ;)
-
You're funny Jimmy :D...if only I could afford the DVD this week..ahh well I'm seeing it tomorrow anyway.
-
Funny, I've got the screener too and have never watched it. I only popped it in once to clarify a certain er...sensitive debate. Then tottered off to the theater once or twice a week.
But to reply to your thread Jimmy,
does this mean I have to go to bed now or Santa won't bring me a prezzie?
-
I spend so much time in theaters that I only saw BBM a few times......and honestly that was enough theater for me!
So yes I'm very excited for tomorrow.....5:30 in the AM!
-
hehehe, Brandon, long as yer seein' it tomorrow...
LOL Paul! Santa doesn't care what time you turn in...
Yeah, I should have continued the theatrical run after getting it but I just started poppin' it in every night.
Weird. When I saw it the last time in a theatre (last week of January), I didn't know it would be the last time... :'(

Aww, Spook, that's sad!
(Is it weird that I can't bring myself to call you Jimmy?)
-
That sucks :-\
-
No, Agent 107, it's not weird. :)
Slap a "y" on it and call me Spooky. (Guess what my favorite night of the year is??)
Yeah, it is kind of sad. :(
I'm fascinated by the idea of the things that we do for the last time ever, without KNOWING it is the last time ever...
Thought of that list a lot after the end of a 7 year relationship...
And Princess Diana?! Her last meal, round midnight that night, was sole and scrambled eggs! That girl should have had a brownie sundae with hot fudge! :-\

Spooky, I just came back from purchasing the Brokeback DVD from Walmart. I'm in Tejas at the moment. They only shipped one box of 50 dvds, while Narnia had a whole huge display right next to it. I love my screener, but even you would agree that seeing "for awards consideration only". Like I said. That's my political act for the year. The Dems will have to do the rest of the work for me.
