Title: The Tremblays wish you a Merry Christmas!
Post by: nicpic64 on December 23, 2006, 03:20:51 pm
;D  Hello everyone.  Nicole here.  Haven't been here in about 9 months.  Just thought I'd poke my head in to see if you were still here and if you were, to wish you all the Merriest of Merry Christmases, Joyeux Noel, and any thing else you may be celebrating at this jolly time of year.

Hope this note finds you all happy and well.

Nicole,

Thanks so much for dropping in! We are all well and happy, and keeping the wonderful story of the Tremblay family and the Chez Tremblay board alive (as you can see!).

Have a wonderful, safe, and happy holiday. My very best to you, Pierre, and your children.

Hi everyone,

Sorry, I'm assuming people know us.  It's Nicole and Pierre Tremblay wishing you a merry Christmas.  I didn't put our last name in my last entry.  I also forgot how to post letters on this thing so if I'm not in the right block or square or whatever you call these, I apologize.  All that to say,

Happy Holidays and Joyeux Noel from the Tremblays! ;D

Nicole-what a wonderful gift to see you here! As you can see the little Tremblay family is alive and well with many new additions to the fold. Please stop by and say "hi" now and again-it really helps keep the PT history vibrant and alive.

Don't know if you noticed but we are planning a little gathering in Calgary the last week of July '07. It would be absolutely fab if you and Pierre could join us all for lunch or dinner. The details will be posted in the Social Events forum in the Alberta Bound thread.

Happiest of holidays to you and Pierre and don't be a stranger  ;D

Hi Roux,

That sounds great!  Give us a call when you get into town!  Pierre will probably be on a show during the week but hopefully if it's a weekend, he could get away for a bit.

later,
Nicole

Hi Nicole,

Thanks so much for stopping in!  A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and Pierre and your family, too!  :-*

Part of the reason I'm looking forward so much to our Alberta trip is the possibility of meeting you and Pierre.  I'd love to thank you in person for letting us share a little in the making of Brokeback Mountain.

Do keep in touch if you can.  8)

That's wonderful! I misread the header as "The Tremblayans", and thought it was just a place we could all post Yuletide messages to each other, not the TREMBLAYS themselves. Very best of wishes to Pierre and Nicole and the family,

AND to you all.

Hi Shuggy, Hi Meryl,

So nice to hear from you!  Hope to see you in Cowtown (yes, that's Calgary's nick name) in July!

Nicole, how lovely to see you here again!  Yes, as you can see, we're all still here.  I'm afraid our love of (obsession with) Brokeback Mountain is here to stay.  And there's no nicer place on the web to reminisce about it than here.

I'm hoping to go to Alberta in July, myself - it would be lovely to meet you both.  Hope it all works out!

Through the years, we all will be together if the fates allow...

Hope you and Pierre are having a wonderful holiday.

Very Happy Christmas, Winter Solstice, and New Year's to all the Tremblays! It's very sweet of you to drop in. I'm reading this a few days late, as usual, but I welcome you warmly as we all do.

Speaking of the Calgary trip, I've been meaning to mention that there is a gay rodeo in Calgary in late July, I'll find out exact details soon and get back to everyone on the main thread in the social events forum.

Cheers,

Jenny

Nicole, it's so wonderful to hear from you!  I, too, misread this thread's title and didn't realize it was from you.  I was also on the board when you “stopped by” last winter.  That was so sweet of you to think of us and send us your holiday greetings!  You are both really special people and it would be so wonderful to meet you when I and so many others from this board are in Alberta next summer.

I send my holiday best to you and yours and hope you all have a wonderful New Year!

Pete

Hi everyone,

We can't believe you are all still here!  Pierre and I watched Brokeback Mountain again last night.  We had only seen it last in January.  Hey, it's a good movie!  It was fun to watch it again and to realize why it made such an impact on so many people.  For once in cinema we see gay men as real people not as clowns or as drag queen charicatures who may be lots of fun but not the norm.

Please tell me more about this Alberta visit a couple of you have mentionned.

Thanks for all your good wishes.  Happy New year to you all.

Nicole :-*

I echo your sentiments Nicole, and as my friend Lynne put it so well the other day, this story is cathartic, and such a blessing to so many. A warm thank you to all involved in delivering it into the world.

Nicole -

Here is a very tentative itinerary:

Thu. July 26    Towns north and east of Calgary (Crossfield--50 miles north of Calgary, Strathmore--60 miles east of Crossfield)
                     Exploring and shopping in Calgary
                     Dancing at Ranchman’s

Fri. July 27     Drive to Fort MacLeod (160 miles south of Calgary)
                    Lunch at Red Coat Inn
Cowley (60 miles west of Ft. MacLeod)
Drive back to Calgary along Rte. 22 (Longview, Black Diamond)
                    Dinner in Calgary

Sat. July 28   Travel to Canmore (120 miles west of Calgary)
Lunch in Kananaskis Village (near Canmore)
                    See nearby film sites
                    Dinner in Canmore
                    Viewing of movie?

Sun. July 29   Picnic at Lower/Upper Kananaskis Lakes
                    Hiking/Riding
                    Bear/Bridge sites
Dinner in Canmore or K. Village
                    Viewing of movie?

Mon. July 30    Hiking/riding
                     Cookout, bonfire, moonlight ride

I think we will get a big turnout in Alberta - since we will be visitin' the film sites!  :)   I will be there!  In fact I and many other "Brokies" have already gathered in San Francisco, San Antonio, Boston, New York, and Casper to meet each other and talk about and watch our favorite movie.  ;D  There have also been other US and European gatherings that I did not attend.  Future gatherings will be happening in Bay City Michigan and Estes Park, Colorado!  There's no reins on this one!!

Thanks Pete, fer directin me (& others, I'm sure) ta this thread.

Nicole

Thank you for letting me know your schedule of events in July, Pete.  I hope to be able to meet up with you at some point or other in the week.

Au plaisir de VOUS rencontrer

Nicole :D

Bonjour Nicole,

http://72.232.132.224/forum/index.php/topic,2739.msg44864.html#msg44864 (http://72.232.132.224/forum/index.php/topic,2739.msg44864.html#msg44864)

On a commence cette fils le 19 Juin, et nous sommes pas encore finis.  Je suis very rusty a m'expresser en Francais, alors je continue en Anglais:

This thread started after you left last spring, so I wanted to bring it to your attention because there is nothing else like it anywhere else in the BBM cyber universe that I am aware of.  Over at Jake Watch they were working on a Jake Watch movie script for Jake, but I am not sure if that project is still in the works or not, it is all very top secret hush-hush!   :o :o ::)

But over here at Chez Tremblay we, (well the actors anyway, not me) have been putting all their best efforts into the 250 pages we have so far, and we are presently just two scenes away from Ennis and Alma's divorce.  This is a humour thread, so if you like humour, this thread is for you!

I hope you like it, and if you want, there are a few minor parts yet to be filled, and even Alma Jr if you have a mind to!   :D

Anyway, nice meeting you Nicole, à bientot j'espere.

Jane, (Winston Heights/Mountview, Calgary)

Huh?

(Someone had to say it.)

It all boils down to four things:

- I love BBM.
- I love Calgary.
- I am eager to meet you.
- I can never figure out how to put the accents on the letters.

- I can never figure out how to put the accents on the letters.

There may be better ways, but since the board doesn't provide one-click accented letters (the way Wikipedia does), in "Fenêtres" I would just open the Character Map, which is usually at C:\WINDOWS\CHARMAP.EXE but can be found using the Search or Explore functions under the Start button (if it isn't already on your Desktop) and copy and paste them from there. C'est facile, n'est-ce pas?
