Hey all,
For those interested.. I posted some BBM drawings awhile ago and there was one I was still working on - well, still working on it and this is the progress report! Jack is all but done - a little shading to go. I'm gonna tackle Ennis tomorrow (not literally, but god, wouldn't that be heaven!!) *lasso scene flashback, Sheyne inserts self as Jack* Mmmmm... ;D
I'll hopefully have a finished drawing to post tomorrow nite.. Fer now, I'm off to count sheep.. ;)
I'm getting tricky with my technology, so I've put both these down! *grins happily* ;D

:o Sheyne how can you even start to draw like that? It is amazing the likeness you have got with Jake(I mean the picture not you personally). I almost went into the same trance I do when I see pictures of the man himself. Bravo sister, keep up the good work! ;D

As much as I think Jake has the deepest, sexiest eyes, he also has very sexy lips. I hate to sound like that cliche line in the movie Deliverance, but that boy sure has a pretty mouth! ;D

That's amazing, Sheyne. Like I've said before, I can't imagine having that kind of talent. I wouldn't even know where or how to begin. I think I'd sooner sing an aria successfully than properly capture Ziggy, let alone a human being. Thanks so much for sharing that with us. You're da bomb. :-*

Hahaha!!! I LOVE that you noticed that! I draw Jake G with the most incredible amount of love (and cotton wool stuffed in my mouth, lest I drool all over him) but there were 2 parts I drew with particular affection : the spiky little sprigs of hair AND the mole above his lip...

Okay, my fingers (and parts of my face, I'm sure!) are black from pencil but its all done.
I have plenty more drawings to do before my holidays are up, so I'm gonna scoot. Please either reply or PM me to let me know what you think. Your opinions / criticisms are greatly appreciated. Ta. ::)

Oh my god! That is so gorgeous! How can you draw like that? I can hardly doodle and there you are with your briliant skills! I love how you have got the textures down and the deepness in Ennis' eyes. Bravo!
I think I have found my new Artistic Director(or Prop manager, if you want) for our reinactment! ;D

What detail...it's really gorgeous. I'm taking an erotic drawing class and this reminds me of that, but, er, with lots more clothes on. I wish I freaking drew all day long.

The more I study your drawing, the more astonished I get. This one's getting printed out and added to the "shrine" on the refrigerator door--and I ain't jokin'!
When I was a kid I loved to draw, but I could never sit down and draw "something" if my life depended on it. This is really, really, wonderful.

Actually yes it was..LOL, after my Mom had her first stroke I worked with her speech therapist so I could help her and I learned that this is the way our brains store information, words are alphabetical, things are grouped by type and subject....so Mom and I would practice listing ... OH say flowers...Amaryllis, bachelor button, calendula, daisy...etc for hours and it was amazing not only how much her brain activity and speech improved but how much MY memory did!

Its amazing the way our little minds work, huh? I'm part way through a psychology degree and almost my full first year was brain physiology - HOW we store stuff, WHY we can't remember sometimes, what happens in dementia, alheizmer's etc.. it might sound really boring to some people but it really is fascinating stuff..

Hmmmmm.... aware, beatific, comical, delicate (but not in a bad way), emotionally open, funny (too close to comical -but oh well), genius, happy, intimate, joyous, kaleidoscopic, loved, maintenance-free, nascent, original, philosophical, quiet, real, stern, thankful, understanding, valid, wholesome, xpressive, young, zany (often, apparently).

Oh yeah, two or three times over the alphabet! Mom and I got really good at that until her second stroke it was a game we played every day with all kinds of topics from actors to farm equipment anything and everything we could think of...but after the second stroke the dementia and dysphasia were too bad.

That's amazing. But very sad about your mum though. My 92 year old gran has been suffering from dementia for about a decade now and its funny, you can talk to her about her life up till about 45 and her memory is sharp as a tack for events and places but she can't place people - ANY people into her life whatsoever. Its like all the threads of memory for her children, grandchildren and even her late husband has been pulled out of the fabric of her mind completely. So we just talk about her shop and her sewing business and the houses she's lived in. She looks at photo albums of her life and she's thrilled that this girl lead such a full and happy life. Has no idea its her. Its pretty tragic really, but we console ourselves somewhat with the fact that she's not in pain.
Daniel, i LOVE your effort!! lol, good work.. I'll have to have a go myself after my little one is off to bed. How bout you, me and Victoria work on a Brokeback themed alphabet description?? I know this has been done on other boards, but lets see if we can come up with our feelings, our responses to it!.. Hmmm.... going to think for a bit now! :)
