Title: Frappr Map is coming!!

Hi to the Chez Tremblay folks!

I want to get a frappr map going of our BetterMost membership.  This will be nice for simple curiosity and also to facilitate any regional-type elk-hunting or bean-eating (for us veggies) excursions.

I'm looking for a CT member or two to give me a hand with this, so reply here or send me a PM if you're interested.  I heard thru the grapevine that some of you guys did this on the old board.

It's basically putting everyone on a map of where they are located - kind of a way to show how diverse everyone is.

I could help too, but ditto for the right time zone thing???

I'm usually only on at night in Australia, which sort of makes it between 3am - 8am American time..

I have created the map at www.frappr.com/bettermost.  I've left it private/invitation only for now.  But I'm wondering if there's a way to provide a link to it on the forum without having to notify everyone via email?  I could probably get Phillip to do the invite, but let's try this first:

I bel;oged to one of those on another forum--it occasionally caused problems, but most of us got our locations, a greeting, and were able to post our pictures next to the map.

I had no luck with this one4--but maybe I'm not invited.

Go to www.frappr.com/bettermost to add yourself.

Feel free to add important places too.  I got it started with Riverton, Childress, and Calgary.  :-)

Ann-Marie was the first to get back to me about being the CT co-sponsor of this little project, so I'm going to appoint her to the job.  Thanks for all of the volunteers though.  We've never done this before so all suggestions are appreciated.  Contact either one of us with your comments.

Hey Roland - glad you made it to the map :)

This is blind leading the blind here, but let me try...

If you're logged into www.frappr.com with your username and password (you may need to create an account, if you haven't already), there should be a tab labelled 'My Profile'.  Click on this.  Then you should see an option 'Change Profile Photo', with a browse button to let you choose a pic.  After you've browsed to your pic, click Update.

About the comment...is that what frappr calls a shoutout?  If so, click on your balloon in Toronto.  You should see your name, location, etc... and an Edit link.  Clicking edit will let you edit/add a shoutout (comment?).

This is purely trial and error for me....good luck and let me know how it goes!

P.S.  I want to visit Toronto one day - seems like a wonderful place from what I've heard!

No need to worry, I am added now. But I kind of added myself twice cause I thought it was asking me where my nearest city was. ::) So could the powers that be delete the one that says I live in London, or tell me how to do it. Damn the technology! ::)
