Hi, you all,

Awesome to find people posting puzzles for each other.  I had an idea, and want to run it by you all, and see what you think -

What if, instead of having one puzzlemeister, what if we do it this way:

Cryptoquipper A posts a cryptogram.  Gives clues, if needed.  Cryptoquipper B guesses it correctly.  It's then Cryptoquipper B's turn to post a cryptogram.  Cryptoquipper C guesses, and gets to post the next cryptogram.  Etc.  If the winner does not post a new cryptogram within a certain amount of time (15 minutes, maybe?), then it's up for grabs and anyone can post the next one.  It's fine to guess the cryptogram, and then say something like, "Someone else can post the next one."

I like that it takes off the burden of responsibility to keep up with posting puzzles, and I like that we all can take a turn posting - if you're online and playing, you might get to win and post the next one.

What do you all think?

It sounds good to me, Clarissa.  Let's see what everyone else thinks.

I like this idea too, but I think we should still have rounds. 10 lambs wins a round, otherwise it will be a neverending game and nobody will win.

What do you all think?
Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.

I agree with you, David.  We definitely need rounds.  The person posting the puzzle could update the scoreboard after confirming that the correct answer was posted.  By using the quote feature on the previous scoring post, it's easy enough to add one more lamb.   This is what Sandy and Shasta did yesterday when they took turns filling in for Paul.  The lambs are too cute for us to just leave them by the wayside!

Also, nice avatar, David!

Great idea, Clarissa.  It sure worked yesterday spontaneously.  Good old Brokie ingenuity.

Anyone want to play?  Shall we continue this round, so many lambs out there...
