What if, instead of having one puzzlemeister, what if we do it this way:

Cryptoquipper A posts a cryptogram.  Gives clues, if needed.  Cryptoquipper B guesses it correctly.  It's then Cryptoquipper B's turn to post a cryptogram.  Cryptoquipper C guesses, and gets to post the next cryptogram.  Etc.  If the winner does not post a new cryptogram within a certain amount of time (15 minutes, maybe?), then it's up for grabs and anyone can post the next one.  It's fine to guess the cryptogram, and then say something like, "Someone else can post the next one."

I like that it takes off the burden of responsibility to keep up with posting puzzles, and I like that we all can take a turn posting - if you're online and playing, you might get to win and post the next one.

What do you all think?

I also think it's a good idea. The rounds may take slightly longer to finish, since someone who is very quick at the game, may end up posting several times instead of answering.  However, I like the idea of taking the burden off one person. I think we should try it and see how it goes.

"That sure looks like a winning ride to me."

Someone else can post the next one. I'm good at solving puzzles, not creating them.

Why do we consume what we consume?
Why do we believe what we believe?
Why do we accept what we accept?
You have a body, a mind, and a soul.... You have a responsibility.

Daniel,

It's easier than you think.  :)

Paul found a web site with a program for creating cryptograms -- this was discussed here a few pages ago.  You just type in your sentence, and it does the work for you.  It's as easy as pie.

Well, I don't know if we are supposed to wait until we are told that we got it right or not. I'm just going to go ahead and put in a new cryptoquip, and be corrected later if needed. You know---it's easier to get forgiveness than to get permission---that's our motto at work.  LOL

Here's Shasta's lamb for "Jack, I swear."  (I'm just posting it so we don't lose count -- and to save Elle the trouble.)
