I just heard this in the news and wanted to share it with you.
Today, last Sunday in April, is the day of the commemoration of all those who were deported to Nazi concentration camps during WW2 (at least in France - other Europeans tell me if you have this). ALL those who were deported? Well, almost...
For the first time this year, representatives of the homosexual community were present at the ceremony. I say present only, because they were not invited. But at least this year their 'presence' was tolerated. The last time they tried to attend 3 years ago, they were taken away by the police and spent the ceremony shackled at the police station. So as one of them said today: "We are making slow progress", but they were not handed the microphone to make any speech/declaration, and could leave the flowers only after everyone else had gone.
That made my blood curl, and my quick temper flare.
