This new DVD collection was released on October 2, 2006 and does not include Brokeback Mountain the film for which he was nominated for an Oscar and won a BAFTA as well as a number of critics awards for!  It is a disgrace

I've seen 3 out of the 4 movies listed.  Don't know if I'll ever check out DD.
They need to release another collection with BBM, Jarhead, October Sky and Day After Tomorrow - all excellent movies and outstanding Jake!

You're missing a *great* movie (and one of Jake's best performances) if you never check out DD.

i agree with this collection of films much better than the ones they picked.  Actually i dont even like the films they picked with exception to The Good Girl which, unlike most other people, i see the dark comedy melodrama that makes the film an interesting movie to watch.  Jake and Jen had good chemistry working on this film and Jake was adorable.
Barb i have to disagree with you on DD being a great movie and one of Jake's best. IMHO thats just not so.... I know how much you love the film.  I think we all know what Jake's best performance was/is and thats Brokeback Mountain!

Yeah, but who knows  - these may just be the films they got permission to group together in this set.

Well, if I can pipe-dream for a minute, I'd love to see the following grouped together:

October Sky
Donnie Darko
Brokeback Mountain
Jarhead

- just because these are my favorites and show, very nicely, I think, his full range.  I actually quite like The Good Girl and Proof, too, but they don't show his range as well as these do, IMO.
