Time mag: Ang Lee one of 100 Influential
« on: May 03, 2006, 10:01:20 am »
:) this was in my Time mag that arrived yesterday - Ang Lee was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world - the only movie director on the list.  Ziyi Zhang (sp?) wrote the little tribute which listed CTHD and BBM for the reasons why he made the list.  I think on the basis of those two movies, there are a lot of us who will now watch anything he is involved in - what a master he is! :D

Excellant. Good news for Lee and for his fans. He's going to be the next A. Kurosawa. Where was the director of CRASH listed ;D

Can't wait to see what his next project is going to be!

He's an amazing director, and I love the variety of movies he's been involved in.  I've seen most of his movies except for I think two: Ride With the Devil and Pushing Hands.  Anyone seen Ride and can recommend it?

Go, Ang!  He's earned his place on that list, sure enough.  8)

Absolutely agree. BBM was the first Ang Lee movie I saw, but now I want to see the rest of his production, past and future...
They were two friends of mine
