My pets as an adult were sooty and skimble - rescue kittens whose mum had been run over so they were hand reared - they were grat and like Lynne really got me through a miserbale tome when I had just split from my long term boyfriend and I thought i was going to be alone forever. They are such great company.

For those of you who read my blog you know that sadly at the end of May, Sooty was clipped by something and killed.   :'(

Skimble is much more meowy these days and is enjoying a bit more attention - I have my Mums cat and dog staying with me at the moment and I think he feels a bit lost as he doesn't have his friend to gang up on them. he's staying upstairs a lot... but we're still making sure to cuddle him at night. Here he is playing with his toys....

Skimble looks like he is very happy and loved. That's a cute picture of him Kelda! I LOVE cats!!  :D

my kitties....Milli is the black girl
and Crybaby is the tabby...a boy.

Crybaby thinks I am his and he is VERY jealous of me. Yesterday I was petting Milli and Crybaby (as always) was laying beside me watching...suddenly he stood up reached over and SLAPPED her across the face!! he B**** slapped her!

I fussed at him of course...

poor Milli....she is too gentle for that big ol galoot!

Hey Elle---It was JESS who coined the "cat b***h slap" term that we were trying to remember in chat!!

Here is an article about the benefit of having pets:

Milli reminds me of my old cat Algie.  She was the aggressive one though.  She had the heart of a lion.  Once, when she was very old, my bf at the time was tickling me and playfully put a piillow over my head as I squealed.  He suddenly made a noise and stopped and when I looked up he said, amazed, "Your cat attacked me.  She heard you making noise and she ran up to me and just batted at me and hissed!"

My Algie was declawed.

"That scrawny little cat, I could just pick her up and wring her neck!"

I grinned, "I said she was brave, not smart."

 :(  I miss my Algie.   :'( :'( :'(

Thanks.   ;D  My last boyfriend didn't like Kabuki's type of breed.  He liked oriental cats with 'apple heads' not 'wedgeheads' which is what Kabuki is.  He called her my 'ratbat gremlin cat'.  Years and years ago, a relative had a lilac-point wedge-head Siamese cat.  I had never seen one before and her look just fascinated me and after that I always wanted one.  So, when my old cats passed away, she was the first one I got.
