Three cheers for all brokie-husbands!  :)

& how odd that my gay husband could care less about BBM or Heath Ledger.

Yes, but I suspect that even though he doesn't care about Heath, he cares about you and sees that this is a difficult and challenging time for you. And in that way, he is a Brokie husband.

At least, that's the way it is working in my house.

Same here Leslie. Although my husband does care about BBM, but just not the same, intens way I do...but that's okay.

No, I'm still at the Marriott. I get the 12 noon shuttle to the airport and should be home around 8 pm tonight. I have my boarding passes all ready to go. Online check-in has to be one of the greatest innovations made by the airlines in the last 25 years!

You lips to God's...
Sorry, I don't even know what that means   ???

We have a skeleton staff here at work because of a snowstorm.  In this city it doesn't take much for people to take a Snow Day.  A few years ago we became the laughing stock of Canada because the idiot mayor at the time called in the army to help clear the snow, lol!

Yea but it was the biggest snow stom of the decade (maybe longer). Still, I was not surprised. I continued to refer to him as the clown mayor.

Got ourselves just 9 kids at school today (out of 145) and a full staff. And for what? 9 inches of snow?!!

Still I'll take the light day. I'm clearing some things off my desk, getting ready for the magic retirement date coming in late March - 31 working days left! Yee Haw!

FROM YOUR LIPS TO GOD'S EARS - "May the prediction or wish you are making come true." Used to express appreciation for someone's hope that matters will turn out well. Also in the form 'from your mouth.' Often shortened to 'from your lips'. From "Random House Dictionary of Popular Proverbs and Sayings" by Gregory Y. Titelman (Random House, New York, 1996).

Wow, I love your husband too.  And mine.  He's been extremely sympathetic, and knows without me really telling him that every day, even 9 days later, that I am grieving.

Man, MY husband is wonderful, and he liked BBM, but he's completely clueless about the mourning-Heath thing, and the Brokie thing in general.  I've been spending more time here lately since Jan 22, and he doesn't stop giving me crap about it (which is why I hang out here in the mornings while he's still in bed)!

"WHY do you spend so much time on those message boards?"
"Can't you do something better with your time?"
"A bunch of people mourning some guy they didn't know...  [nag nag nag, etc.]"

Gaa . . .
