Dear Leslie, you were the first person I called after I heard the news, one year ago.  The news banner had stuff about the stock market most of the day, so when I refreshed the page that afternoon, I almost didn't notice:  Actor Heath Ledger found dead in NY apartment.  I thought it was a prank.  But of course it wasn't. 

After you, I called Meryl.  She was on the streets of NYC somewhere, and hadn't yet heard.  Better to hear from another Brokie, I guess.

Thank you Paul. I had a mostly dumb day yesterday with alot of pointless running around. I guess the good thing was that it kept me busy and out of my office, not looking at Heath and Brokeback memorabilia.

Hopefully I'll have a few minutes to read EW today. I never had a chance to even open it yesterday!

It's strange, after the anniversary yesterday, today I keep thinking 'Today one year ago....' - well, guess you know.

Anyway, some more enjoyable things now. Once more I have a mini-series because I couldn't decide. I've just seen that a similar one has already been posted today, but what the heck.
