What book do you think Heath is reading in that Ellen clip?  At first I imagined that it looked like my copy of The Queen's Gambit, but I don't think it does.

It's impossible to say for sure from the clip, but I don't think so, too. Dozens of people work on such shows, and the props are prepared by some helpers.

Good morning Heathens :)

(It's already afternoon here, but still morning for most of you).

A while ago I came across a picture in thumbnail size, that remeinded me very much of some painings of Frederik Remington. In fact, at first I thought it were indeed a Remington painting. Turned out it was  a Heath pic.

Let's make a little game of it, shall we? I'll post Remington paintings in thumbnail size and sneak in a Heath pic. Take a quick glance, just scrolling by, and see if you can identify the Heath pic at first sight.

Must be taken in a studio, in front of a screen. What do you think?

I happened to see the last part of BBM on cable last night and was awed all over again by how great Heath is in that scene.  His eyes are so expressive.  He simply is not himself there, but pure Ennis.

You can say that and mean it!!!  :-* (Icon meant for both Heath and you)

I follow the photocaption thread over at DC, they use images from this scene and sequence quite a lot because it does lend itself to that sort of use since his emotions, his fear and insecurity are so eloquent.

I laugh at the captions but I never fail to just look at the picture(s) and sigh a little over how wonderful that scene is, how pitch-perfect and deeply moving Ennis is.  :'(

*sigh*

---

I think 4 feathers is arguably the worst film Heath ever made, so I don't rewatch it, but that camel pic you posted sure caught my eye, Chrissi. It is very striking artistically, but what strikes me the most of all is how Heath is sitting, his legs lightly crossed in front of him on top of that huge big wagging animal.... I would have been so terrified!! I get nervous just from watching Heath there.  :o He sure did have balance and presence and guts.

Oh thankyou so much for the pic, those eyes, talk about the windows to the soul. I never look at Heath pics without being pulled in by his eyes, they tell a million things.A complex man for sure.

I read that Heath and Judd Mongrel attended a Burning Man festival together. I had never heard of this event before. Seems great. I wonder what the two of them contributed with.

Never heard of it either. I'm not sure I really get the whole concept, but from what I've read I can picture Heath there. Reminds me somehow of that Mexico trip with The Masses we read about.
Where have you read this bit?
