Got a new book from the library this weekend entitled "Heath Ledger:  Living By Instinct" by author Ray Tedman.  Has anyone else seen this yet?  Has a lot of photos of Heath that I'd never seen before in a book or on this or other websites.  Also a biography and timeline of his films and some notable quotes, all of which were very interesting.  Might be worth checking out for all you Heathens.  I'm sure it's available at bookstores / Amazon, etc. as well.
Dawn is coming,
Open your eyes...

I don't know if this is for real, but someone has posted a questionnaire about fan interest in Heath on the Heath Ledger IMDb forum.

Apparently Heath may have narrated (or partially narrated) a documentary about surfers called Sea of Darkness.  Anybody know anything about that?

And, according to IMDb, Heath was in an Australian kids' movie called Paws in 1997 as a character named Oberon.  The full movie is available on Hulu (also through a link on the IMDb page below).

The name "Oberon" is a funny coincidence, since Merle Oberon's most famous part was in the 1939 version of Wuthering Heights, the filmed version of the book where Heath's name may have purportedly come from (Heathcliff).

Hm, I think I may have found something else new.

After posting that last post about Wuthering Heights and Heathcliff above, the Kate Bush song "Wuthering Heights" started playing in my head - mostly the prominent refrain that starts out "Heathcliff, it's me, your Cathy..."  So I decided to go over to YouTube and find a version to listen to.

I first heard that song in the early 90s, and I had thought it was pretty new at the time.  Nope.  At YouTube just now (and then further at Wikipedia), I learned that it was on Kate Bush's first album in 1978, which was one year before 1979, which, of course, [drum roll, please] was the year Heath was born.  So now that's where I think his parents got his name, from the Kate Bush song.

And without further ado, the song, from 1978:
