If you are trying to locate an obscure song that just doesn't turn up anywhere, feel free to put your request here and I'll see if I can dredge it up for you.  Please allow some time for me to research and locate your request.

Stump the Mayor: The Music Request Thread

Roland's request is here so I remember to hunt for it:

Next: don't know who sings it, nor in what language it's sung, but I find the song enormously addictive.

Been listening to the video of it (over & over again - maybe cause a the really cute kids lip synking it) but I'd sure like the mp3 version of it. Song's called Numa Numa. Can you find out what language is the original? (Don't care for the english version.)

Here, have a look!

"A, You're an Amazon," by Alix Dobkin is one I've been wanting since I was reminded of it on my birthday.  It's maybe late 1970s, I think.

Cool service, M. le Mayor.

ok....is this thread JUST for songs...or will you be starting one  for requests for videos??

*hint....hint*

I am thinking of one that is an optical illusion. It shows a picture of a castle in odd cartoon colors. There is a blinking smiley....you look at the blinking smiley and the picture turns to a black and white picture. but to the viewer the picture is color, blue skies and crystal clear! only after you look at it for a while do you see it in black and white. It is very cool and I would like to see it again!

western music

This is from Red Steagall.  Unfortunately, his albums are not part of the music database service I have here, so I've had to secure a lesser-quality copy from an independent source.  If a better version turns up, I'll let you know.  You'll need Windows Media Player, or something that can support that, to listen:

This one is not possible for me because she allowed her publishing royalty agreement to expire, and it's essentially available on cassette only.  A lot of these smaller independent artists are no longer part of the music catalog database.  Amazon still had cassettes I believe.

I don't have access to videos.  You can probably find it on YouTube though.
