Favorite Summer Beverage?

I love a cold Coke on a hot summer day - hell I love it on every day of the year. But never ever I would drink the diet version of any soft drink. Eeeew  . They taste horrible.

Even more than Coke I love Apfelsaftschorle. Couldn't live without it. It's half apple juice and half mineral/sparkling water. I like all kinds of Schorle: orange juice, red currant juice or cherry juice - all mixed half and half with sparkling water. But the version with apple juice is the most refreshing on a hot summer day.

You can buy it already mixed in the supermarket. But they have preservatives and flavoring substances added. The ones from the supermarket are less healthy, more expansive and taste less good than the self-mixed ones.

I think self-mixed tastes way better than the stuff from the supermarket. Additionally, you can vary the amount of water in it. Usually the mixture is half and half (tastes best!), but when it's very hot, you can mix 2/3 water with 1/3 apple juice.

Try it, it's very good  . And try to pronounce "Apfelsaftschorle" while mixing  .

Oh, i can be a drinker.......usually a light beer....but to cool down, I like the limeade or pink lemonade.

The "Mike's Hard" line of drinks is tasty.

Hard Cranberry Lemonade, Lemonade, and Limeade.  Tried them all.  yummy!

Thanks Chrissi! I'll try it very soon! It sounds delicious. But I'll probably fail miserably pronouncing "Apfelsaftscholeforlesporletorle...."

I had a Propel Fitness water today.  That was tasty stuff  In this weather I imagine ice cold Gatorade would be good too and good for you.
