Howdy -

Anyone want to go to a UCSF showing - for old time sake??  ;)

There are four of us from Chez Themblay that will be going to the 5:45pm show this Thursday, May 11th.  ;D

Please let me know if you would like to join us for the show and possible dinner afterwards - unless you also want to see the 8:15pm show!  :o

Directed by Ang Lee and winner of three Academy Awards, including Best Achievement in Directing, Brokeback Mountain is the controversial tale of two cowboys and their secretive relationship. Heath Ledger was nominated for an Oscar of his performance in this film and Rolling Stone magazine wrote "Ang Lee's unmissable and unforgettable Brokeback Mountain hits you like a shot in the heart. It's a landmark film and a triumph."

This movie is 136 minutes long and will be shown via DVD projection. We will run this projection with the subtitles on.
Is there anything interesting up there in heaven?

This is so nuts of me to say, but I thought the movie was 134 minutes long.  I'd love to go with you.  And meet you.  Hug.

Pete, I would LOVE to, and in fact, I was planning to go--  then found out I'm working Thursday, Friday, AND Saturday night!  I'm so disappointed, but can't get out of of working (can't afford not to be there when the heifers calve)  :'(

Thanks to Julie sending me your message last week, I was able to attend the screening at the church in SF on Friday night.  I was already nearby for another film-related event, so it was easy enough to slip on in to the front row at the church and watch 'the boys' one more time.

Please keep us posted if you hear of any other BBM shows in the Bay Area.  I sure am sorry I'm going to miss this chance to see all of you.  Next time!

Pete! My dream is to be able to go to that screening. In the early days I could just quit those jobs...

Damn damn damn
