Lynne... a lot of the real Van came through in this one... not the yelling, I think that's pure Luke, but there were a few times where it was more of a Van moment than a Luke moment (listen to the intonation, you can hear it I think).
This episode was chock-full of whats known as "soapy goodness" - which is the occasional brilliant combination of good writing with beautiful acting that can be found in daytime dramas. Granted, these moments are few and far between, but in a way, they need to be to provide that refreshing blast of cool air in a desert of monotony.
