Parts 63, 64, 65, and 66 of the Luke and Noah storyline. (We're almost caught up, folks)

I had posted part 66 earlier, so I'll repost it here and then delete it, so the whole thing flows.

The second kiss (which is always slightly more intimate and probing than the first) aired today for a brief 2 seconds before Noah's father (shiver) barged in on them, ending today's episode.  You'll have to scroll to the very end of the show to see the good stuff.

EDIT: CBS is cheating us! Compare the two scenes. The first one is the aired episode. The second one is the original recording.

Pay no attention to Luke reaching for a statistics textbook to study for a literature exam. Its hard to think straight when the hearthrob of your life is across the room let alone six inches away.

Either that, or he said INT exam, which isn't usually what it's called, INT being one of the few constants used in interest calculation.

Parts 67, 68, and 69 of the Luke and Noah storyline.

I had posted these before, but I'll repost them again and get us caught up.

Today's episode featured nearly 15 minutes of Nuke related material. That's about half the show once you put in the commercials. For those of you who can't wait to see what Colonel Senior Psychopath is going to do after that revelation, here are the relavant scenes. Now don't get hooked, people. I'm a philosopher not a soap-pusher.

More missing dialogue.... sigh. The writers wanted to follow Maddie and Colonel Psychopath.

Stamp 2:34 Noah
We kissed each other, Luke, and I don't regret that.

Luke
(tries not to look at Noah's lips, failing miserably)

Noah
That was the best thing that happened to me, in a long time.

Luke
(happy sigh through nose... still finding it difficult to concentrate)
So what now?

Noah:
(tears himself away from Luke's eyes, though it is difficult for him)
I'm not sure, really. I mean.... I still love my dad.
(Noah is completely miserable, sits down)

Stamp 1:12 Luke:
(sits down on the arm of Noah's chair, puts his arm around Noah's shoulders)
It's obvious that your father loves you.

I think its adorable how Luke is always taking the supportive role in the relationship, never really demanding anything from Noah. Hmm, I'm not sure that that makes much grammatical sense but I'm not going to change it now.

Parts 70, 71, and 72 of the Luke and Noah storyline.

There's a slight deterioration in sound quality when Luke's voice becomes a lot deeper. This isn't a voiceover, just a little sound glitch.

Another opportunity to compare CBS's censored version with the original recording, although its possible that there was a sudden change in the script too that the original recording didn't fit in with. The aired version is on the left, the original recording is on the right.

Missing dialogue? There's something a bit discordant here, the scenes aren't meshing as well as they could.

Luke:
I guess people really can change their minds and come around.

Noah:
Yeah, well, I did.

Luke:
Yeah.... and I'm glad!

(Noah and Luke lean forward to kiss)

Colonel Meyer
(eavesdropping at window, suddenly turns and heads back in, banging the door loudly)
Oh sorry... Luke? North is...
(pointing)
that way, right?

(Luke and Noah jerk apart. Luke lifts a hand up behind his head, embarrassed)

Luke:
Umm, yeah. That's right.

Colonel Meyer:
(vicious smile)
I'm just getting my bearings straight.
(goes back outside, banging the door noisily)

Parts 73, 74, and 75 of the Luke and Noah Storyline

Luke whispers "I don't know." to his sister's inquiry. (It's a little difficult to hear).

The woman crumpled on the floor is Luke's aunt. That was continued from a scene in an earlier episode that I didn't include because it didn't have very much to do with the Luke and Noah storyline. Yes, Colonel Psychopath clubbed her. Why? Guess we'll find out.

Ah, Colonel Meyer... thats not how you hold a gun, let alone shoot one.  Suspension of disbelief, suspension of disbelief.
Ah, he's left handed and has a glass right eye. That's it... the only explanation.

Damn you, Daniel!!!

I spent the better part of a whole DAY catching up with this stuff and you leave me with THIS!???!!!   ::) :D :D

Sigh...Luke and Noah - very hot, not nearly enough kisses, and too much other people angst to slog thru  ::).

And what about Dusty?  Man, that dude does it for me in a big way also.   :D

This just ain't right.

(Rant over)

Seriously nice to see a daytime drama to feature a homosexual relationship so progressively and appropriately characterize the homophobe as psycho.  Good story line and I'm happy to see so many people invested in Luke and Noah's story over in that poll.

Thanks very much for sharing all this with us.

Anyone else notice Luke searching the fridge for a condiment?  :D

There is just WAY too much food in that fridge.

Here's an interview with Van Hansis (Luke)

Van Hansis "Plays" Along
AS THE WORLD TURNS' Van Hansis (Luke) kicks off a five-month run in the off-Broadway production of offbeat play Die Mommie Die! this month in New York City, but the über-busy actor found some time to give a little introduction to Lance — and the lowdown on Luke.

Soap Opera Weekly: What's your role in Die Mommie Die! like?
Van Hansis: Lance is a guy who may have fetal alcohol syndrome. He's not the brightest person in the universe and has rage and OCD and is kind of a big slut. The genre is very different, but it's like a soap opera. There's this family that's trying to kill each other; they're this rich family in L.A. who have all these dark secrets. It's a raunchy comedy that takes place in 1968, so it's Old Hollywood versus the '60s revolution. It's fun. I honestly have no idea how to explain it. It's very out there and it's very campy.

Weekly: In other words, you're playing the polar opposite of Luke?
Hansis: Lance, my character, is a big hedonist; all he likes to do is have fun. Luke is always torturing himself about something.

Weekly: Luke's getting stronger, though, right?
Hansis: Yeah, I love playing Luke being strong, getting stronger. Luke's growing some b----, and it's about damn time, you know?

Weekly: Do you have to switch gears when you go from the show to the play?
Hansis: A little bit. It's a different vocabulary. We were blocking some scene and I was like, "Who will cue me on?" and they were like, "Nobody, you just have to listen." I'm so used to having somebody tell me when to enter a scene.

Weekly: Lance sounds like a wacky guy.
Hansis: Oh, yeah, he is. He's having a lot of fun. He gives his mom LSD. He's funny.

Weekly: Could Lily use a little acid?
Hansis: Well, I wouldn't want to see Lily on LSD (laughs).

Weekly: But people certainly want to see more of Luke and Noah.
Hansis: Honestly, I'm not going to say I'm surprised, because I'm not. If you tell a good story, good feedback will happen. The writing is really incredible. There's always these questions about whether the audience is ready for this [relationship] and yeah, I think they are. There's a big faction of people who have been waiting for this for years and years, and the story hasn't been told. Now that it's finally being told people are tuning in. I get so much fan mail from people who are like, “I started watching ATWT because of Luke and Noah.”

Weekly: It's not going to be an easy road for the two of them, is it?
Hansis: It will be a rocky road, I'm sure, but an easy road's a boring road!
