Wasting Time- Chapter 2

_______________________

I've accomplished much in the past 2 years
more than I thought was possible
but I feel that a part of me
will never be satisfied with that
and always convinced that
I waste too much time

I know that feeling,
but have always a look at what you have reached
and that you have moved on and changed things in your life.
Maybe you have waste time, maybe a part of you is not satisfied,
but you have accomplished more than you thought was possible!

That`s the point and that is the only thing wich is important.
It is never to late, to change things, you don`t get the years back you lost,
but you become more yourself!

All you need is in you and it was always in you!
Take it and make the best of it!

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!

Chuck

I just read your poems "Wasting Time" parts 1 and 2.

When I read the first one, I thought "what a fun dad he would be" and I see that isn't a priority for you now -- which is fine. I understand that. You are doing a great job traveling, and chronicling for us with the pictures. I can't tell you how much I love to look at your travel pictures -- please keep posting those when you take a trip!!  :)

I did not want any children when I was younger. Then I changed my mind, tried, and found out I couldn't. Then I thought of adopting, but I got a divorce and didn't have the money or the gumption to adopt alone. Now I'm happy that I don't have the great responsibility of having a teenager. (I admire people who do it to the best of their ability, and I respect them for doing the hardest job in the world -- I know it's rewarding almost all the time.) I guess what I'll miss the most is grandchildren.

But I think I would have been a fun mom, too -- probably not very good at discipline, tho. And you seem like you'd be a great dad. I hope you have some nieces or nephews or friends' kids to spoil!! I spoiled my niece much to her mother's dismay (and delight), and that has been great!! And my best friend shared her kids so well with me -- vacations and everything. They are married now, so when those grandkids come, I'm sure she'll share them too.  ;D

Love the poems. Thanks.

Hiya Shasta and Sharon!

thanks for your posts on my blog, and your opinions on my poems!  I always enjoy reading what people have to say, good or bad.

;D

I used to put a lot of weight on being a father, but now I find that I enjoy being able to pick up and leave when I want to, and not have to worry about taking a "little one" with me.  I'll always be "uncle Chuck" to my friends' kids, and that's just fine by me.

Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Good morning BetterMost members!

Well, I've managed to maintain my weight loss over the past two weekends.....between two cousins weddings, and the NYC gathering, my food intake was horrible.  Scale this morning still read 198lbs, so I'm very happy about that.

I'll be in DC this weekend, and once again, the food around will be bad.   I plan on hitting the hotel gym room at least once a day while I'm there.   Come too far to fall now.

Today's vid kinda goes hand in hand with my poem that follows.......80s classic from Van Stephenson.

Today's poem, fresh off the comp, written last night.

The Sneak

----------------------------------------------------

yesterday you first came around
often appearing and making much sound
unfamiliar face in a big crowd
creating mystique when speaking out loud
another new friend, so it seemed at first
now I see you are acting your worst
trying to comment, and push me away
save your strength, honey, those are games I don't play
creating some drama by moving your mouth
apparently thinking you'll make me run south
rotten to the core is how I see you
every day I see it, it shows more, through and through
mighty do fall, it's a lesson to learn
every person who's sneaky one day will get burned
fill up your gun, and your ammo you'll spend
run from you I won't do, I'm here to the end
over and over you'll try to smear me
maybe one day, you'll wake up and see
bitch, i'm too strong, so play if you must
my friends know who I am, and it's me that they trust

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

It's not easy, is it? You do your best at home, but social events conspire to defeat the best of intentions.  :-\
