Ding Ding Ding! Announcing Another Special Round!
« Reply #1553 on: November 15, 2007, 12:17:42 pm »
1955 was a special year for me (anyone guess why?)
so in recognition of successful completion of Round 1955,
I am announcing another special round! This one is a little different from the others,
so pay attention to the rules!

This round: The Stars Come Out!

Guidelines:

1. Alphabetical order, as always.
2. Instead of playing a movie name, this time, play a MOVIE STAR'S NAME (last name, first name, except in the case of mono-named people, like Cher). Play this in the subject line, ie: "L" is Ledger, Heath
3. Then, in the text box, list a movie, the year it was made, and any images or facts you might want to include, that this star has been in. As usual, it has to be a movie that hasn't been played. Any movie from 1955 to the present may be used.
4. Wildcard X rule is in effect: any name can be played on the X round.

I'll go first with A as an example.

Questions? PM me. Have fun!

This beautiful, sexy movie star was in one of the finest films of 1963, Jean-Luc Godard's masterpiece Le Mépris:

Birth Name
Creighton Tull Chaney

Son of silent film horror and make up master Lon Chaney, probably most famous for playing the Wolfman in The Wolf Man (1941) but continued acting all the way up until his demise in 1973.  In the 50's & 60's he made a lot of westerns like this one

Apache Uprising (1966)

Around the World in Eighty Days is a 1956 adventure film released by United Artists. It was directed by Michael Anderson and John Farrow (uncredited) and produced by Michael Todd.

The movie boasts a huge cast, with David Niven and Mario "Cantinflas" Moreno in the lead roles of Fogg and Passepartout.  Over 40 famous performers make cameo appearances, including Marlene Dietrich (as a saloon hostess), George Raft, and Frank Sinatra to name a few. Indeed, this film is credited with popularizing the term "cameo appearance".
