1963!! What happened to 1964? LOL! Don't you people have jobs? ;-)

I can't believe no one posted The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964). Probably my all time favourite film! Oh well, you snooze, you lose...

Oilgun, that's my fault. I posted Unsinkable Molly Brown, because it was the only film I recognized on IMDb's list of "U"s for 1964. The Umbrellas of Cherbourg wasn't on the list! I much prefer that film, too. I think I'll go back and change it...Debbie Reynolds out, Catherine Deneuve in.

IMDb lists it by its French title, Les Parapluies de Cherbourg...it would have shown up under the "P"s for 1964. This is still the only Jacques Demy film I've seen, but it's widely considered one of his best, and by some as his very best.
