"A 1999 Harvard study, for example, found that just by looking at the photographs of seated strangers, college undergraduates were able to judge sexual orientation accurately 55 percent of the time."
Which would mean this study was 5% better than guessing, and has error?

They had 4 gay men and 4 lesbians, 4 straight men, 4 straight women. That's a miniscule sample! Read the above carefully.....they essentially did no better than complete guessing!
