I manage this decrepit, old house next door to a church that is owned by said church. I told them I doubted anyone would rent it, well a year later along comes Mr. One Tooth, we call him that because he has one lower incisor and that is all the teeth he has.

Mr. One Tooth is about 67 and has a wife that is about 27, he has a mentally challenged adult step son he inherited from his first wife who is deceased, and he and his current wife have at least 6, if not more children. Did I mention I have never seen the mother? She does not live with him. She just comes and goes and produces children who immediately receive Social Security because her husband, the assumed father, is retired. She apparently comes around and collects the checks and takes off and he is left to raise this family on his check, and cannot ever come up with the $350 a month rent. He'll bring in $200, $100, and then nothing for a couple of months.

The Trustees have taken him to court onetime and read him the riot act about providing a home for his children. Looks like we will be headed back to court. He came by the office yesterday when I was out and said he'd be back to talk to me at 3 pm, but he never came back. He has no phone and no transportation, he has to walk 2.5 miles round trip to get here. It is a pitiful situation.

      All I can think of to say is!!  Those poor poor kids.  What kind of an environment is that to grow up in? 

  They need some kind of an investigation by DHS.
