Reminds me of something animal rights activists always say about turtles, especially advising parents not to buy them for the children:

They have giant tortoises at the Philadelphia Zoo that are said to be more than a hundred years old. A few years ago the organization I work for had its "summer picnic" at the zoo. Two of those ancient tortoises were having sex right out in public.  :o

At least, it looked like they were at least trying to have sex.  ::)
