Oliver Jones is on TV right now on Radio-Canada Television, channel 12 here from 3 p.m. this Sunday December 30th, playing his jazz tunes... at the piano.
He plays too some tunes created by Oscar Peterson who passed away this last week. Both were born in Montreal.

Oliver Jones came to view my paintings I created, at my Montreal exhibition, last year. And this year, he visited again my Fall Salon exhibition and noted again the painting of mine that he wanted to compose a jazz tune with!!

So, if anyone is interested in jazz...

I am not familiar with Oliver Jones nor Oscar Peterson, though I do love jazz.  I bought a Miles Davis John Coltrane  CD this week with a gift certificate I received for the holiday.  I think that is awesome that Oliver Jones came to your exhibits and that one of your paintings is inspiring him to compose - what a fabulous compliment!!  Congratulations!!!

Artiste, do you go to the Montreal Jazz Festival? I have a good friend who was telling me all about it when I was in San Francisco. He has sent me a couple DVDs of when he was there. It looks great. I may go with him next time he goes which could be this coming year. Montreal looks like a beautiful city as well.

Oh also this is an international Jazz festival so there are performers from all over the world. I believe Jim, that is who was telling me about this, said there were videos of it on the web too. If you are not familiar with it you should check them out. And by the way he was at the event in SF, but I believe he only posts on DC so you wouldn't know him.
