Yes, I watch Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet. I've missed a few episodes but I try to always watch it.

We lost Mozart last week. They think she died from a vulture attack.  :'(

She's the second meerkat to die in the show that I know of. The other one was Flower who died of a snakebite.

The producers of the program do not back off or try to shield the audience when one of the animals die. This is a part of nature (as sad and upsetting as it is) and it's one of those qualites that makes MM such a realistic and interesting program to watch.
Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.

I saw a commercial for it during movie previews at a movie theater about a month ago.  It looked great, but I haven't watched it.

My husband watches it all the time..I had never seen it before, until last week...I thought he was watching the
same movie over and over..I just found out it was a whole season of it.  And now they are starting again.  A whole new
set of shows I guess.

My dog goes whacko over this show...it comes on and he just goes crazy barking at the TV, and running around.

awwww... cute little grady - I suppose he could be mistaking them for kittie? and if they rush about a lot then he'll get excited at that I'm sure!

I just got the first season on DVD from Animal Planet. I need to watch it from the beginning. When a co-worker told me Flower had died, I got tears in my eyes. I had resisted watching the show because I knew if I got involved with the animals I'd be upset if something happened to one of them. Well now I know so I'll deal with it.

I resisted for a long time but it was always on at work so I saw bits and pieces. And I heard recently about Mozart.

I'll start watching next week.

Thanks for starting the thread Kelda.
