Howdy,

another Monday morning rolling around in Europe - but no TOTW will be presented here today.

It's Thanksgiving week !

And in honor of one of the most important holidays for our American residents as well as in remembrance of Ennis and Jack, we will have a big and fun quiz running the whole week. All questions will be related more or less closely to the three Thanksgiving scenes from the story and movie.

Katherine and I have come up with some pretty tough questions, but don't feel intimidated - the questions are equally tough for everyone and we also have lots of easier questions.

The rules:

1) It's all for fun! 

2) Permitted auxiliary tools are your memory, the short story, DVD, movie scripts, the stripedwall site (www.stripedwall.com), general internet searches and the whole BetterMost site - except this very thread. Additionally, for two questions you might get a bit creative either with the answer itself or with your sources... 

3) Not permitted: cheating. And yes, it IS cheating to scroll down and read the answers other participants have already given  .

4) You can take as much time as you like (well, almost. There is a deadline, see below). You can try to answer the questions from the top of your head and skip what you don't know, or take a guess, or you can take your time and do a little research with the above mentioned auxiliary tools. Also, you can change some of your answers by using the modify button. In case you will have an enlightenment over night, it's also OK to change answers the next day(s).


Each correct answer is worth one point, the one with the most points will be our winner.

Answers will be accepted till Monday morning, Nov, 26th, 9am CET (that's 3am EST).

It was Thanksgiving and Lureen knew she had to do the usual chore of cooking the Thanksgiving dinner. In her calculations she would have only three hours to do this in. Work was very busy and of course Lureen knew how to balance the numbers. She was a whiz at that. She spotted an advertisement from the local A & P telling about a fully cooked turkey that only needed to be heated up. What's more for just a little more she could get the sweet potatoes and all of the other Thanksgiving dinner fixins. Bobby didn't like turkey anyway so she would grab him some cereal and peaches. He didn't need anything more since it would be too much trouble to try and get him to eat. So she went and purchased the Thanksgiving dinner. It took her only three hours to warm everything up.
