Did anyone else notice this?

Lureen has an Antique metal toy tractor on her desk.   LOL.

No way!  I never noticed!  Thanks, David!  One more thing to look out for when I watch BBM again!

Do you think the toy tractor belonged to Bobby?

Thanks, David!

I wonder if there're some parallels/contrasts to be made between this desk and Jack's desk in Lightning Flat.
To start with of course... the metal toy tractor with farmer on it/ toy cowboy on a horse
I remember discussion over on IMDb about whether the toy on Jack's desk was carved (and if so, who by) and whether it was a plastic toy. Either way, it's less 'mechanical' than the tractor and its driver.

And there are at least three desks in the film... (I expect someone said this in the Threes thread on IMDB, I apologize for not knowing who.)
Those two desks, and the one in the blue parka scene.
That one had a picture of LD on the wall. Are there any pictures of Bobby or Jack on that desk of Lureen's at home? And is it her desk exclusively? Not one that Jack uses at all?
(Lureen's wearing a tan jacket there, more bundled up, and defended(?) than in the earlier 'pissant' scene when she was in a blouse, and still wearing red.)
Both of the desks in Texas have plaques, i.e. signs of worldly/business success on the walls.
Jack's in Lightning Flat has (in the film) a picture of cowboys on horseback.
I couldn't make out what some of the few things there are on that desk, and on the shelf above it, but I think there're some rocks (i.e., part of the natural world). And a notebook of some kind, which isn't opened so we don't know what's in it, in contrast to the papers full of numbers that we see Lureen working on in both of her desk scenes.

I also wonder if there's any relation between Aguirre's cluttered desk and Lureen's cluttered desk.

It's interesting to contrast her first desk with her second desk. I imagine her first desk is before she & Jack inherited the business; the second desk is after.

Yeah Oscar, where'd the set decorators find that!  I love all the period touches.

I'm wondering about those four things on plaques hanging near all four corners of L.D.'s portrait.  Are those rodeo buckles?

And, I like how the wallpaper with its sheen looks kind of icy and cold.  It's a good visual indication of the direction that Lureen's personality is headed.

And, about the "toy tractor" mentioned in the first posts in this thread... I wonder if that's more of a model tractor (I mean a sales model) rather than a toy.
