Thanks you Meryl for posting those pictures. Like Mikaela said, it looks very good, not intrusive. It really is a very personal way of sending our condolences. The picture is perfect.

Thank you too Peachy!

Thank you again Meryl and Peachy.
Yes, the condolences are beautiful, I just wish there would be no need for it ....  :'(

I'm sorry I have not contributed yet, but the end-of-the-month paycheck is entirely earmarked for the rent, so the last week of the month is always a tight time financially for me. But I intend to chip in when the next check comes.

I was wondering about the possibility about us maybe making a donation in his name to a school or organization in Brooklyn, where Heath chose to settle with his new family (and to where most of us believe he would have returned). I have no specific ideas, it's just a thought.

not intrusive on private grief

To me, it was really important not to intrude and I agree with Mikaela.  I think we have extended our condolences to the family in the best way possible.

I agree with Mikaela and Sandy. Meryl and Peachy, you are one class act.

(Meryl, I hope that being an organizer for this has helped you...)  :-*
Watch out. That poster has a low startle point.

Thanks, Mel, and everybody.  Yes, it's helped me a lot to be able to take some action for Heath, even if it's only to let his loved ones know how much we cared about him.  Alas, that's all we can do for him now, besides keeping him close to our hearts and defending him in the eyes of a world that may want to look down on him for the way he led his life.  We're so fortunate that we got to know him better than most, aren't we?  We know what we've lost.  :(

Thank you Meryl, thank you Peachy for your great work. Oh yes, we know what we have lost, and it is hard. A g..d..b.. of an unsatisfactory situation. At least, thanks to both of you we have the feeling that we are doing a little bit something to thank him for all that he has done for us, and this is some comfort.
