Peachy, like Meryl I would have chosen the exact same flower arrangement. It's beautiful and I love the indigenous flowers.

Now that the condolence notices and the flowers have been taken care of by the magnificent Peachy, we are free to think about where to bestow the funds we have left.  If we can come up with several specific choices, I can start a poll so we can easily see what the majority would liike to do.  It's late, and I'm going to bed soon, but let's work on a list in the next few days.  S'alright?

I advised the operator that I wanted to enclose a card with a personal message, the wording of which he assisted me with (at this point of time on the phone, I’m afraid I became somewhat emotional – the operator was very compassionate and understanding).

My thanks too.  And thank you, Meryl, for keeping that running tally of donations and expenses.  I like that it's transparent that way.  And thanks to everyone who actually got around to donating.  I know how easy it is to intend to donate, and then not quite get around to it.  That 41 people actually donated is lovely.  And Peachy, thank you for being our intrepid agent "on the ground."  And Kerry, for helping us gather our choices.
