Peachy I just saw your post about the flowers, but I'm not sure what happened.  What does it mean that they couldn't process your order?

Bummer, I know, but don't feel like it's your fault.  You did exactly what you should have!  I  think it would be fine to send the flowers to the cemetery instead.  Don't send the money back, and don't by any means pay for it yourself.

I'm very disappointed in Interflora for missing the boat and not letting you know in time.  Let me know if they provide any further explanation.

Thanks for your suggestions about charities.  I'll try to get a poll up today so we can start making a decision.

No worries, we'll get it done!

Oh - DAMMIT!

Kerry, you'd better check - I've got an email that they couldn't process my order.  :(  :(  I wish they'd phoned me!  I hope yours went through at least.

I'm so, so sorry, Brokies.  :(  :(  I hate telling you this.

So should I either put it through again for the cemetery at some point, or send the money back to you, Meryl?   If it would help, I can pay for a wreath myself.

I just phoned Interflora on their freecall number, the same number I placed my order through last Thursday.

I quoted the order number I was given last Thursday and the operator advised me that my order had been delivered.

I explained to her that the cemetery had changed from Karrakatta to Fremantle, since I placed my order, and was phoning today to seek confirmation where my floral tribute had been sent.

She put me on hold while she tried to contact the florist who had been assigned my order. It's 10am Sunday morning here in Sydney, meaning it's 7am in Perth, so she couldn't get through to the Perth florist.

She again assured me that their records indicate my flowers were delivered and assured me that someone from Interflora would phone me as soon as they made contact with the florist - probably Monday morning. She took my mobile number.

I checked my chargecard statement on-line and the cost of the flowers has been debited to my account.

As soon as I hear back from Interflora, I will post the outcome here.

Sent you an email, Meryl.  I'm glad yours were delivered Kerry!  I'm blaming myself because the error was apparently with my credit card - I have plenty of credit so maybe I put in a wrong number.  I don't know.  I can't really blame Interflora if it's my mistake.  So it's the sin bin for me today.

I hope we find out where Heath's remains are finally laid to rest, so then we can still get flowers delivered.

(((Peachy)))  :-*

This article here (towards the end) says:

Quote
Following the service, 10 family members were given a police escort to Fremantle Cemetery for the cremation.   [  ]

Ledger's ashes will be interred in a family plot at the cemetery, next to those of two of his grandparents.

Well, for some reason, it was meant to be that way, Peachy.  Don't worry!  It will all work out for the best.  :-*

I have to admit I'm still not sure where Heath's ashes have been interred, since the news accounts seem to differ or not be really specific.  Hopefully, it will become clear soon, and we can have some flowers sent to the resting place.

The thought that Heath has now been cremated still absolutely astounds me... with all the resonance that has with BBM.  Who would have ever thought it would come to this.

Peachy, you did all that you could do and like others have said for whatever reason this is the way it was meant to be. Definitely do not beat yourself up over this. I hope you know how much we all appreciate everything you have done!!!
