I am not convinced of that.I think she was attracted to Ennis,then bound to him by tradition and children.I think of entranced as ,mesmerised,cant stop thinking of,keep hands off that person.I don't see that even at the start.

Does it seem obvious at the end of the BM movie, that Ennis is still entranced?
Do you think too that Alma is still too entranced still loving Ennis, at the end of the movie?
