The latest undead TV hunk
« on: March 05, 2008, 10:27:11 am »
Anybody else see the debut of New Amsterdam last night?

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. ...

O.M.G. ...

Another Viggo Mortonsen.

What is it about the Danes?

Here's a link to his page at IMDb:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0182666/

There also an article on him and the show, with a great full-page photo, in the TV Guide for next week.

You know I went out and bought that TV Guide that had the article you mentioned, Jeff, about the Healthy Man Love thing, and I have yet to read it.

Friend, for somebody who doesn't watch much TV, you sure are displaying a lot of interest in Nikolaj.  ;)

(That's a beautiful photo, BTW.)

Watching the show last night, it suddenly dawned on me that I often find a wide mouth sexy in a man--or a man with a wide mouth to be sexy (think: Jakey G.)?

Why do think that is?  ???

I'm not seeing anything up there Paul. It says "Zelluloid.de". Are we supposed to go over to that website to look at it?

So I went to record New Amsterdam tonight, and forgot the "New" part in the title.  Here is what came up instead:

Amsterdam Sex Club 5
Amsterdam Sluts 1

Not the family entertainment I was looking for.   ::)

Don't bother with Amsterdam Sluts 1 - It really sucks!

Back to the hunk, I fell in love with him back in '94 when I saw him in the Danish NIGHTWATCH.  (If you haven't seen it, run don't walk, to add it to your Netflix queue/ziplist.)   I've been waiting ever since for him to make it big over here, lol!

At present that doesn't seem to be working either, but in my case it could be an AOL thing.

Spoiler:

Well, I guess I should have seen that coming. The doctor whom John thinks might be his soul mate, the one who can make him fully human again, is married. I just hadn't given it any thought, but in retrospect now it's pretty obvious a plot device.

I guess last night I was too much enjoying the idea that when John was an army surgeon in the Union Army during the Civil War, his nurse was Walt Whitman. I saw that coming as soon as John addressed him as "Walt."

And I like the way they are tying his past into his present homicide cases.

Jesus H., Nikolaj is handsome. And I don't usually go for men with his coloring.

I was hoping that "the One" would end up being a guy, but I'm sure that's too much to ask for.

It had crossed my mind that maybe he'd spent 350-odd years looking at the wrong gender  ;D but this is American TV after all.

They could have thrown us a bone and made him bi, then all his bases would be covered.  We could get flashbacks to a gay relationship and every once in a while he could have a current male fling.   ;D  I know, only in my dreams.
