I will be preparing to integrate the Heath forum into our regular categories of forums later this month (it will remain as-is, as a standalone forum indefinitely). As we prepare to adopt our spring colors, I will be adding a permanent small memorial banner for Heath Ledger next to the BetterMost Beans found at the bottom of every forum page. I'd like to offer the opportunity for our artists to help design this small permanent banner memorial. If we can get a few entries, we can ask forum members to choose their favorite and we'll adopt one as we move into our spring color scheme.

Some technical specs:

Banner size should be approximately: 200 (width) x 80 (height) (same height as the beans image, slightly shorter)
Any format is fine (GIF, JPG, etc.)
Try to use a more neutral color scheme, avoiding any extremely bright or potentially clashing colors

You can attach works in progress and submissions to this thread. Thanks!

Yeah. It is hard to choose a favorite. They are all nice, Milli.

I love the one with the candle, but one of my favorite pictures of Heath -- the one with the hat -- is in the second picture, and I love it too!

There are so many really good offerings here. Why can't they all be used in a rotation kinda manner. Changing em once a week, or twice a month?

Great job

They are really nice. I like the very first two in particular. The one with Ennis in the background is great too. Like mon ami Roland I feel it would be nice to have Ennis

And although Rest in Peace is, of course the perfect phrase for a Memorial it is so sad, it reminds us all the time he is gone. I wonder whether words of thanks, or something like 'forever with us' might also be appropriate? or perhaps 'if we can't fix it we gotta stand it' (not any happier than RIP though

)

I think this is a great idea Roland. And, I also like the idea of using at least some images where Heath is portraying Ennis.

That might be possible using the same code we use the rotate the weather randomly between Childress and Riverton at the bottom lower right. This is a good suggestion.

Yep, I think this is a really nice idea for the memorial image if it's do-able. I think visual variety is a good thing.

I like the last image. It shows Heath in "real life", along with how he appeared as Ennis Del Mar in Brokeback.
I think that is how most of us will remember him. and rightly so. whatever is deciided, I will back it up 100%'

We will be adopting the Heath memorial images (the non-animated ones) with our forthcoming spring color change. It will be located on the bottom of every forum page next to the weather for Riverton & Childress. Thanks!

The memorial images look so wonderful as part of the forum page design now. What a fitting and lovely tribute.

Thanks to Milli for her work in designing them and also thanks to Phillip for working them into the design of the forum page.

I love that they rotate. I enjoy the variety.

Thanks to everyone involved,I love the work.
I am just so very sad at the reason for doing it.I have just finished watching AKT again, and was so struck by how utterly alive and lovely he was.Even in the extras section there was no sign of the nerves and fidgeting of later films.But still that melt your heart smile.

I visited many BBM locations last month and had an "interesting" time. I went to Ennis's alley where he got sick. Someone as written HEATH and another Heath RIP.
