How do you like your cornbread?
« on: March 30, 2008, 12:03:33 pm »
People around here are passionate about cornbread, I have known people to end friendships and get divorces over it!! (ok not really but CLOSE)

do you like your cornbread sweet (which is just WRONG) or the proper way: 'corny' and not sweet at all...

as you can tell I am completely unbiased on this issue...

I like sweet cornbread Jess. Unsweetened cornbread has a bitter undertaste. If it makes you feel any better, I'm one of the few people around here who likes it sweet. Most people prefer the unsweetened bread. :)

LOL well ok...I will still be your friend!  ;) ;)

I actually think I may be in the minority around HERE cause all the restaurants serve theirs sweet....maybe we should trade regions!! (that is what made me think of this question, we were at a restaurant the night before last and they had sweet sweet cornbread...Don saved his and ate it for a dessert - the freak...dessert is something with CHOCOLATE in it.. ::) ::))

I love Mexican cornbread.

I love the kind of cornbread that my granny made -- it was fried in an iron skillet.

I eat all kinds, but I prefer unsweetened cornbread!

There's a choice missing!  I like cornbread in all it's many guises - sweet, yellow, white, made with creamed corn, pan-fried, spicy Mexican style...

I voted "What is cornbread?"

I looked it up in wikipedia, but naturally I still don't have an idea how it may taste.

This is how I make my cornbread most of the time. I guess it's probably cheating, but it's quick and easy! :D
