It just comes to my mind that Jack was a bit like Old Man Twist: complain like his dad ??

The apple does not fall far from the tree, since Jake was raised by Mr. Twist?

Makes sense?

Good point, Artiste! And Jack was a bullrider just like his dad too. Perhaps a dreamer as well??

Perhaps similar in other ways? After all, Dad Twist did say, "I know where Brokeback Mountain is."
