Yes, but knowing how and being good at it are very different things.

Not really.  I have no capacity for retaining long stories.  I have read and forgotten more books than I can remember!  Pathetic!

Most of it. I missed a big chunk of the first hour because I discovered I had locked my husband out of the house and had to leave the theater, go let him in, and then go back. Consequently, I didn't like it much, but I can't totally blame the movie.

The person below me has seen several good movies since Brokeback Mountain.

HAHAHA ... Now would you have left the theatre to let your husband into the house, had you been watchin BBM? I wouldn't... ;D

Lucise, yes I would say so.

The person below me prefers to watch movies in their original versions rather than dubbed, whatever the original language.

True, and I'd rather watch a movie with subtitles than dubs, so I can hear the actor's voice and actual words. Also, my husband is learning Italian so we've been watching Fellini movies together.

The person below me likes movies from a different country than where you live.

Well - I hate to admit this (Ugly American syndrome and all), but I don't.  I like movies in English.  Dubbing is awkward and subtitles are incredibly distracting, and I feel like I miss so much of the nuance of foreign films.
