I usually don't. I'll only follow a recipe when I'm trying something new. After the first time, I can usually get the essence of it and will go freestyle after that. The thing is, as a single man living alone, I can't keep my fridge stocked, or most of it'll go bad before I can even get to them. The market structure is not single person friendly. Even a head of lettuce is more than I can finish in a week. So I don't have all the ingredients to recipes. I will improvise with what I ever I have for the most part.

the person below me prefers to cook at home as oppose to going out.

False, can't cook, wont cook. The only things I cook are pasta, rice and salad! ;D

The person below me has had salad today.

True. I have salad most days, or plenty of veg if it's a bit cold.

The person below me watches too much TV...

Not really, I have only seen opera once. If you also count Peking Opera, then a few times.

The person below me takes their vitamins everyday (and therefore is quite disciplined :) ).

I use suplements, but really only when necessary.

The person below me is having Mexican food for dinner.

I've already had mine - it was baked cod with mashed potatoes and oven roasted veg (cooked by me), followed by sugar-free (cos I'm diabetic) rhubarb crumble (cooked by my flatmate). *Burp*... excuse me.

The person below me drinks is very good and drinks 2 litres of water a day...
