Weather's here...Wish you were beautiful!
« on: May 25, 2006, 06:54:39 pm »
My bags are packed and I am on my was to the big T(mmmm tea). You got it right, Toronto, baby! It still hasn't hit me that I am going, normally I am quite excited about going on holiday but this time I am quite relaxed and chilled. I am going to miss you guys so much though, it feels weird that I have been on here for 2 months and have not yet missed a day of posting. I don't know how I will cope, I may just start rocking back and forth, shaking and saying, "Bettermost, mods, cowboy emoticons....Bettermost, mods, cowboy emoticons". I will of course try my hardest to keep in contact with you each day, seriously you will not see me for dust if I know there is an internet connection somewhere near. Still PM me and things cause I am not gone forever, just for a few days. I might do a little travel log for you all, saying what I have done and of course when I get back I will upload my pictures for you all to see. If anyone is in the area I am in Toronto from the 26th to the 28th and then on to Niagra from the 28th to the 1st. So PM me if any of you are interested, although I doubt you will be.
Anywho I need to get some sleep now, but knowing me I will be on here for another half an hour.
Love you all!
Beckala :-*

P.s thank you so much for the "Bon Voyage" Pm Jenny, I feel really bad now cause you sent me such a nice PM and I can't reiterate because of my lack of time on here today. :-* :-* :-*

Have a safe trip and a great Holiday!

If you're flying Delta, they are showing Brokeback Mountain on their West bound flights on all except Boeing 777's.    wouldn't that be fun!

That would be great! ;D I actually don't know what airline I am flying on, infact I don't even know what time my flight is, organised aren't I?! ::)
Thanks for the big(litterally) send off Lucise!
Anyway I need some shut-eye, I will hopefully *crosses fingers* talk to you tomorrow if I find an internet cafe or something.
Love you lots,

Better working conditions????

I don't understand. ???

What would constitute better working conditions for medical practitioners?  Not having to be around sick people?

OH Brokies and intelligent conversation, I never knew my topic was such a gem. Anywho I am here in Niagra! The falls are so beautiful, even if it is all horrible and touristy in that area. I am so sorry that I haven't come on earlier, it is just as soon as we landed I got on at my parents to find me a computer that they were so annoyed with me they said I couldn't use the one we found. And then the next day the business centre closed early so I was kinda bummed. I seriously never knew how much I miss my computer and being able to go on anytime I want, I think I have never have been so happy to see a computer in my life! ::) It just shows how addictive you all are, damn you!

So on Friday we flew into Toronto and cause it was sooo cloudy we were joking that we were back home and had taken a wrong turn and ended up 40mins down the road in Milton Keynes.... Well if Milton Keynes was having a "Canadian Flags everywhere day!". The Canadians sure seem to like their flags. We didn't do much on our first day, just got a little bit lost looking for somewhere to eat and then ended up sampling the finest in Canadian quizine: Subway! ;D
Our second and last full day in Toronto was jam-packed. We did everything that could be done, tourist wise. First on the itinerary was the CN tower and I thought that was briliant, however my mum did not. Although I did get her on the the glass floor, but she did not look down. Needless to say it was only me and my dad that went up to the highest point, which was amazing and now I can say, "I have been up to the top(well as far as the public can go) of the tallest free standing building in the world. And I am sorry to diapoint all you New yorkers but the CN tower was soo much better, especially in the organisaation aspect. After that we went down to the boats to get the ferry over to the Toronto Islands. They were really nice, especially on that particularly hot day. Once we came back we were let on a route march by my dearest father*cough* to the distillery district, which was kind of boring, just looking at buildings that had now been turned into art galleries. Although I was having fun watching the Japanese tourists fall off their Segways as that went round on a tour.
And at the end of the day when I came home and took off my sunglasses I realised that I was doing a Lobster/panda impression! I look like the US flag: Red face, white around the eyes and blue eyes! And yes
delalluvia I am blaming the sun-burn on Canada. It is supposed to be the same as at home over here, what happened!

Anyway I arrived at Niagra this morning on the train which took 30mins longer than it was supposed to ::) but ateast it got here! As soon as we checked in I found the computer and was exstatic, but I was then told I wasn't aloud to use it until later, god I love my parents when they are pissed off. But so far we have just walked along the falls and took waaay too many pictures of it!

I am just sat here in the middle of the gift shop and getting so really weird looks for the Cowboy emotiocons, but I don't care, stupid tourists they should loosen up. I only have 3 minutes left on here so I best close up.
I will hopefully be on tomorrow for a bit longer, but for now I am going to watch the fire works. And tomorrow I and off to Niagra on the lake to go on the jet boats which look amazing.
Love my Brokies lots,
Becky :-*

As you can probably tell I am verry tired and being rushed so if there are any spelling mistakes would the mods please tidy up for me! ;D

Sounds like you're having a great time here in Canada!  ;D And I love Subway, there's a 24-hour one just below me in my square! I guess Canadians love our flag 'cause they love showing some Canadian pride! Have an awesome time, Becky  :-*

Yes, definitely try Tim Horton's (or "Timmies").  :)

Ohhh, you HAVE to try poutine, Becky, at just about any restaurant! It's yummy! For those who aren't familiar with it, it's fries, cheese and gravy. It's one of my faves.

AH yes Tim Hortons they are great! They do the best donuts ever...not that I would know of course cause I am a good girl! ;D The also play good music: The killing moon by Echo and the bunny men, AKA the song at the start of Donnie Darko, and being the Darko fan I am I recognised it immediately and felt the need to shout Donnie as loud as I could, which I think went down well with the other sleepy costomers!

Today was really briliant apart from the weather:92 degrees at the hottest point, I almost died. But the best thing about today was the jet boats. I got absolutely soaked and I survived a class 5 rapid, plus the instructor was kind of cute, he had a little bit of Jake about him and he was kinda clumsy which I thought was funny. Anyway this is just a quick update from me cause I only have 15mins on here today, but I hope to update you tomorrow when we are going on the Maid of the Mist and the journey behind the falls, lets hope it cools down tomorrow! ::)

Talk soon,
love,
Becky :-*

P.s Have I just seen what I think I have seen? Stud Duck is our newest member, does that mean David's back?! Ahhh my begging must have worked a treat, I personally knew he would cave.

It's official, no one loves me! :'( What is up with no one replying. I live for the sneaky minutes I get on these computers just to check who has replied with the next obserd remark, but none today? Someone must have put the crazybird back in it's cage.

Even if I am not loved I will talk endlessly at you until you all cave!

Well seeing as I didn't get a chance to talk to you all yesterday I will fill y'all in. Yesterday we did most of the tourist things maid of the mist which my camera got soaked on and I am pretty sure it stopped working for a while until it dried out. Then we went on the journey behind the falls, which was alright but not that good and it looked nothing on camera so I just gave up and enjoyed the expericence. So after that we just lazed around the hotel room and had a swim. Athough I do have a few bones to pick with Niagara: 1)No one here knows anything about public transport and they look at you weirdly when you tell them that you don't have a car with you. 2) All the ATM's don't take Visa and we had to walk all the way to the nearest 7 11(5 blacks down the street) to get some cash. 3) Grey hound busses are absolute crap! We rang them up because the website said you get a discount if you book in advance and then they said that they don't take advanced bookings and said that you had to go there in person. So we got the nearest bus to the depot and when we got there we were told that you couldn't book them there aswell. Once we had explained everything to the guy behind the desk he basically just laughed at us and I actually called him a "C"-word which I hate doing, but it sometimes comes out when I am really angry! >:(

But I get over things quite easily so when I woke up this morning I was up for a stress free sight-seeing day and did I get it or what! Today was packed full of stuff to do. Well not for my mum, she went shopping while me and my dad did all the stuff. First we went to the butterfly conservatory thing. They were flying about everywhere and cause I was wearing Yellow, and so was my dad, they loved us! They kept landing on my head cause I had used an especially smelly shampoo that morning and they loved it! And they really loved my dad, one stayed on his shoulder the whole time, like a parrot so of course this certain butterfly was named plolly. ::)
After that it was to the spanish areocar, which is basically just like a gondella thing suspended over the river. It was alright, but once I had been down there in the water on the jet boats it just spoiled it for me cause the jet boats were so much better.
Then it was over to the helipad for our helicopter ride. It was amazing and so smooth, which I wasn't expecting at all, it was really good, but it still doesn't beat the jet boats for me cause it was jus the rush of water in your face in the jet boats coupled with all the fun of getting soaked!
After the helicopter we went to the white-water walk which was basically just walking along where we had been in the jetboats but it felt so weird actually seeing what we were in. And then we saw the class 6 rapids, the highest you can get, I don't know if it is the jet boats making me a dare-devil but they looked really fun. Also when we were down on the white water walk there was some writting on a rock and I spotted one that said, "Alma Loves Jack" I couldn't stop laughing and was so tempted to change the Alma to Ennis or add "Jack loves Ennis" to the bottom.
Also I have seen loads and loads of GMC trucks, I don't know what it must be about Niagara. But everytime I see a beaten up black one I picture Jack behind it struggling with the wheel.

Anyway that is my trip to Niagra, it is back to Toronto tomorrow(you know what that means, Tim Hortons!) for just one day, and I doubt I will be able to talk to you then so I will see you when I get back,
Love you guys(even if you don't love me!) ::)
Becky :-*

P.s Can I get a spell chack from one of you wonderful mods?
